Creating better outcomes for children.

The aim of BSPAR is to advance paediatric rheumatology care in the UK and Ireland, by raising the standards of clinical care, enhancing the quality of training and promoting research. Through our efforts, we hope to increase understanding, improve management and ultimately create better outcomes for children with rheumatic diseases in the UK and Ireland.

BSPAR (British Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Rheumatology) is the new name to replace BPRG (British Paediatric Rheumatology Group). We are a specialist society within the RCPCH (Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health), with membership open to all health care professionals involved in the care of children and adolescents with rheumatic disease. Currently membership includes over 200 health care professionals, from doctors (paediatricians, rheumatologists and paediatric rheumatologists) and nurses through to therapists (physiotherapists and occupational therapists), podiatrists and other health care professionals.
